Natural Park of Sibillini Mountains
Tha legend tell that the in a cave of the Sibyl, located on the homonymous mountain, lived "the illustrious prophet who rarely reveal the secrets of which he was aware". Necromancers and knights, came from across Europe, after exhausting journeys in the hope of seize an oracle to Sybil.

The park was established in 1993 to preserve and enhance the environment of a large area (about 70,000 ha.) Umbria-Marche Apennines, coinciding with the mountains of Sibillini Mountains. A chain of mountains of limestone origin, which has numerous peaks over 2,000 meters and the central massif which was formed by the Monte Vettore (2476 feet) from the top of the Redeemer (2422 m.), from Lake Peak (2422 m.) and by Pizzo del Diavolo (2410 m.).

Cities of the park
USSITA
Ussita is not only nature, mountains and skiing. But also a story that starts from 1000 BC and who left during the centuries important works of art, many churches scattered throughout its territory and important historical figures. BOLOGNOLA
Nestled near the river Fiastrone, which is home to the sources, Bolognola is a very nice summer and winter resort consists of three cores from the middle ages, surrounded by a magnificent landscape which stands Monte Rotondo, under whose summit, opens inaccessible the Acquasanta ravine with the homonymous beautiful natural waterfall.

CASTELSANTANGELO SUL NERA
Castelsantangelo rises near the sources of the river Nera. Destination for relaxing walks summer Castelsantangelo is also famous for its ski slopes and lifts (Monte Prata) easy to practice winter sports.
