Mondello
It is a famous seaside resort, originally a fishing village, developed around an ancient place of fishing of tuna. Following the reclamation of the surrounding territory, between 1892 and 1910, was built a garden city with many Art Nouveau villas and the Kursaal at sea. Mondello is accessed for the natural reserve of Capo Gallo - Isola delle Femmine. The heyday of this place, still impressive, was the Belle Epoque, when the rich bourgeoisie built villas in the more contemporary style, Art Nouveau. Mondello today takes life in the summer when, at night, you can reach the most renowned restaurants, whose menus are mainly based on fish and crustaceans.
