The Story of Santa Maria Goretti
Born in Corinaldo (Ancona) on 16 October 1890, daughter of peasants Luigi Goretti and Assunta Carlini, Maria was the second of six children. The Goretti family soon moved in the Agro Pontino. In 1900 his father died, his mother had to start working and left to Mary's the task of to looking after the house and his brothers.
